燃气器具安全须知

- Have your gas appliances inspected every year by a qualified, licensed professional. If you receive 自然 gas service from us, you can schedule a no-cost annual safety checkup with us.

Sometimes physical and/or chemical processes can cause a loss of odorant in 自然 gas, 使其无法被气味检测到. Odor fade can be caused by adsorption, absorption, oxidation or any combination thereof.
Odor fade is more likely to occur in the following situations:
- 在新, steel pipe that has been recently manufactured or hasn’t been used for odorized 自然 gas before.

COVID-19 may cause a temporary loss of smell that could make it more difficult to detect the odorant that is added to 自然 gas to help make leaks easier to detect.

- Check the filter monthly during the heating season and clean or replace it as needed.
- Make sure the front-blower door panel is installed properly during operation.
- Keep the furnace heat register clean and free of lint and dust.

- Prevent lint build-up with regular vacuuming of the floor furnace and surrounding area.

Check local building codes and the manufacturer’s installation instructions for exceptions, such as the new flammable vapor ignition resistant (FVIR) tank 热水器s, which may be exempted from the 18-inch elevation requirement in garages.
- Securely install 热水器 restraints to wall studs to prevent movement or toppling during an earthquake, 这是州法律规定的.
- Set the 热水器 thermostat to 120°F or less to reduce the risk of scalding and save energy. (If your dishwasher lacks a booster heater, a setting of 140°F may be needed.)

Don’t install aluminum foil in the oven or range top; it can interfere with exhaust vents and burner ignition operations.
